Benefits of Groups
I love the power of groups for kids and how they foster connectedness with others while building skills. This is especially relevant for children and teens who often feel that they are the only one feeling the way they feel. These connections help your child or teen see their strengths so that they can celebrate them.
The Teen Empowerment Therapy Group will :
- help the group members realize they’re not alone.
- provide a safe judgement free zone for kids and teens to express themselves while they learn new skills to help improve communication, self-esteem, stress management, anxiety reduction and conflict resolution skills.
- help build self-respect, self-advocacy and assertiveness skills.
